Spotify Wrapped for Artists 2026: Deadline and Video Guide

Updated October 29, 2026.

The deadline for Spotify Wrapped artist messages in 2026 is November 6. Spotify says all artists can submit a short thank-you video for a chance to appear in their top fans’ Wrapped experience and the Your Artist Messages feed.

To upload, open Spotify for Artists on desktop, select Video & Visuals, then the Wrapped banner. Submit your video and add a caption of up to 100 characters. Use the artist account connected to the music your fans have been listening to.

The technical requirements are specific: a vertical MP4 or MOV with audio, at least 720 × 1280 pixels, longer than three seconds and shorter than thirty seconds. Aiming for around twenty to twenty-five seconds leaves room to speak naturally without approaching the limit.

Keep the video free of music, explicit content, logos, text and filters. Spotify also prohibits other-platform watermarks and requests directing fans to external websites, ticket vendors or other social platforms. Your caption belongs in the upload field; keep the video itself clear of on-screen text.

For the message, choose one detail that makes the year yours: a meaningful show, a release you were proud of, or the support that kept you creating. Spotify also suggests sharing something you are looking forward to in 2027.

Here is an original script you can adapt: “Hi, it’s [artist name]. Thank you for making space for my music this year. Seeing you connect with these songs has meant a lot. I’m working on new music for 2027, and I can’t wait to share it with you. Thank you for listening.”

Change the future plans to match what you are actually making. If you have a specific memory, use it: the first person who sang a chorus back to you, a song listeners kept requesting, or a show that felt like a turning point. Read your version aloud and time it.

A practical way to record is to put your phone somewhere steady, find a quiet room and face a window or another soft light source. Make two or three takes, then listen back with headphones. Choose the version where your voice is clear and the delivery feels comfortable.

Your caption can stay simple: “Thank you for listening in 2026. More music to come in 2027.” This example is comfortably within the character limit. Adjust the second sentence if your next project is a live show or something else.

Submitting gives Spotify permission to distribute the message, and placement is not guaranteed. Spotify reviews submissions; messages may appear for eligible fans and are removed after the campaign. Treat the video as an opportunity to acknowledge listeners who already connect with your music.

Check your Spotify for Artists access before recording. Spotify says manual access requests can take a few days. If your artist team is already claimed, ask its Admin to invite you. If you cannot reach that person, Spotify directs artists to support. Sorting out access now gives you time to deal with a problem before the deadline.

There is also a separate performance-video opportunity for artists eligible for Spotify’s video upload beta. These submissions use landscape MP4 or MOV files, under twenty minutes and at least 1080p. Eligible performances may appear in fans’ Your Top Songs playlist during Wrapped and remain on artist profiles afterwards. Check the live-performance banner in Video & Visuals if you have access.

Use the preparation session to review your profile too. Spotify for Artists lets you manage your artist presentation, merch and concert integrations. Check that the images, current project and upcoming shows represent what a returning listener should find when they visit your page.

If your biography still describes an old release as upcoming, update it. Our musician bio guide includes a template and examples you can adapt while keeping the description specific to your own music.

For today, keep the job manageable: check access, draft a short message, record it and submit it ahead of November 6. Give yourself enough time to review the upload details. A clear, personal thank-you is a useful way to close the year with the people who listened.
